Position: Communications Officer
Location: Cochrane Nigeria, Calabar Institute of Tropical Diseases University of Calabar Teaching Hospital Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with the team on specific communications related activities of the project
- Provide technical assistance on dissemination aspects of the clinical guideline development adaptation process working with key collaborators on the project
- Contribute to the communications plan for the project
- Develop, edit, proofread and maintain project contents on the website, coordinate social media engagement, and produce newsletters and brochures
- Undertake communications with specific stakeholders related to the project
- Contribute to the drafting of reports of activities of the project
- Undertake other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time.
Core requirements: Candidates should possess the following
- Relevant Master’s degree (e.g. Mass Communication, Information Science, Journalism, Communication Arts, International Relations).
- Five years relevant experience in health research communication, science writing, liaison with relevant media and dissemination of results of research via relevant channels
- Relevant experience with stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Duration: Three Years (2022-2025)
