SYSTEMATIC REVIEWS COURSE (BASIC)

Cochrane Nigeria is organizing a 4-week training course on Systematic Reviews.

Date:               6th March  – 27th  March 2023
Venue:            Online (Zoom)
Time:              Three sessions per week (total of 6 hours)

Brief description of the content

This course is for persons who are considering authoring a systematic review or who already have a registered systematic review title for which they wish to develop a protocol. The workshop will focus mainly on systematic reviews of effects of health care interventions and will take participants through the rudiments of developing a systematic review protocol and searching for evidence.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Understand basic concepts of systematic reviewing and meta-analysis
2. Develop and register a protocol for a systematic review
3. Develop a search strategy and perform an essential electronic database search
4. Perform a critical appraisal of a clinical trial or review article
5. Navigate the Cochrane library

Registration fee: participants will be expected to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Twenty Thousand Naira only (NGN 20,000)
